Radha Ashtami or Radha Jayanti is a very important festival in Hindu religion.

The day is marked as the birthday of Shri Radha.  

According to the Hindu calendar, Radha Jayanti falls on the 8th day of Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapada month, and on the 4th day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

It is celebrated after 15 days of the auspicious Hindu festival Janmastami, which is the birthday of Shri Krishna.

Radha Jayanti will be celebrated on September 4, 2022.

Radha Ashtami will begin at 12:28 pm on September 3, 2022, and end at 10:39 on September 4, 2022.

Radha popularly believed as the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi was born in a small village of Barsana near Mathura.

She was adopted by Vrashabhanu and Kriti.

On this auspicious occasion of Radha Jayanti, devotees worship Shri Radha with great enthusiasm.

The day also signifies the admirable bond of love between Lord Krishna and Radha.

On this day, devotees perform a special Puja  and chant prayers.

Devotees keep fast on Radha Ashtami. This year Radhashtami fast will be kept on 4th September 2022.

It is believed that worshiping Lord Krishna and Radha Rani on this day brings happiness & prosperity in life, women get good fortune.

The day is celebrated on a massive scale in the cities of Barsana, Vrindavan and Mathura.
